Good dashcam, small and not intrusive. Came with everything you need, BUT… I don’t know why you wouldn’t include an SD card? I had to wait 2 more days before I could use it because it didn’t say anything about the card, (my fault, I know). Now it’s in the Jeep and it’s perfect. If you buy this unit, please be aware there is (NO) SD card!!!

Great dash cam for budget enthusiasts. Very easy to install, quite small and sleek so it’s easy to place behind the mirror on your windshield. Quality of the lens is good (a bit dark at night but that’s to be expected), I found the video on 1080p 60fps to be nearly as clear as the 2k 30fps setting so not much advantage to the higher resolution however the FPS is very noticeable and probably would recommend anyone to switch to that. Wire is nice and long (about 14 feet) and the tool included made installation a breeze to run it from behind the mirror through the overhead, down the passenger side window and under the glove compartment to my usb plug in the dash. I haven’t experienced the issues with SD cards yet (apparently this camera is picky and choose through even high endurance cards) but it’s working fine so far with my Samsung Pro Endurance, 128gb records about 10 hours of video. Overall, this camera has exceeded the high praise expectations I had of it before purchasing.

Very good product

The field of view is good, and the video quality is great. The latest firmware update gives it the ability to record in 3440x1440p, which helps to get a clearer picture of someone’s plate number. I have HDR turned on at all times, it’s important mostly at night. Without HDR, it gets harder to record a plate number because of the light reflections.

This is my first dash cam ever and I am very impressed. I was enticed by other cheaper alternatives, but kept seeing VIOFO as a reputable brand from reviewers and decided to pay a bit more for peace of mind. I’m happy I did as I haven’t had any issues and the quality of the camera is surprisingly good. The box comes with everything you need to get this working, including a pry tool – which helped me hide the wires in my headliner and other panels. The only downside is you have to get very specific SD cards that are compatible. I would only trust two: one is the VIOFO branded ones, or the one I have, the Sandisk 128gb MAX endurance (make sure it’s max endurance and not high endurance, high endurance won’t work). Would be nice if they included the SD card in the purchase, as some others do, but it seems to be a dying thing with businesses anyways. I will probably go with a dash cam that is connected to an app next time, as taking the SD card out every time can get annoying. But overall, five out of five for me.

Super matériel , petit soucis avec la notice qui n’est pas en Français et une seul grand cordon pour alimenté le GPS et la caméra malgré deux fiches , pourquoi ne pas mettre un câble répartiteur en plus ?

This is the best dashcam that I’ve owned so far, the ease of use, ability to position anywhere and especially the image quality is exceptional, even the audio is better than I could have expected. I was only planning to use this camera as a general purpose dashcam, but the image quality is so good that I can use it for additional footage for my bush trips as a car cam showing an external view without having to place my action cam outside the vehicle. Had I know that it was this good, I may even have bought the 4K version in lieu.

This Dash Cam is awesome, after watching several reviews on YouTube this Dash Cam wins overall for quality and features. It has a Sony camera sensor and has some really nice features like low light shooting and great quality video. We took it a 12 hour road trip and it worked flawlessly in a hot environment and didn’t shut down

I am extremely happy with my purchase – This camera is really good and very easy to format the SD card and install the latest firmware. VIOFO’s website is very comprehensive and intuitive to find latest firmware and such. I must admit I was not happy with Amazon sending me an open box unit initially but I was able to return it and VIOFO’s customer service reached out to me and made me a great offer for my inconvenience. Their customer service is outstanding (Thank you Lisa!) and they have earned my loyalty and confidence that they do stand behind their product but most importantly, they are also there for their customers. I wanted the A119 V3 for my daily driver and ended up buying the A119 Mini 2 for my “nicer car” – That is how much I am happy with the company. Again, Amazon, if you read these reviews, please stop sending open box items to customers that buy NEW items. If you are on the fence about which dashcam to get, I feel that you will be happy with VIOFO as their quality is really good. Maybe not the most inexpensive but you get a better built unit and by registering you get an additional year of warranty.

I’ve had this camera now for a little over a year, and I’ve used its footage for a near miss accident to save me from even going to through insurance for bumper damage. Having video of an incident REALLY changes the dialogue you have with the driver of the other vehicle and I highly recommend everyone get a dash cam to cover your arse.
The video footage quality is great, menus make sense, the usb cord they give you is super long so it works well for snaking around and under panels to hide the cable. It isn’t usb C but it doesn’t really matter. Once its plugged in its set and forget.
I’ve had this camera in my windshield in super hot days (for southern Ontario that is) with no issues at all.
Makes a old Sony camera start up sound when it powers on, which is a great little reminder that its on and working every time you start your vehicle. The sound isn’t annoying and not super loud either, perfect for a sound that you’ll hear every time you start your car.
Personally I find the software features they advertise to be mostly useless.
GPS: When you have a collision, you’ll know where you are and will be stopped to exchange insurance info unless you’re evading the cops or chasing the perp.
Speed detection: You really wanna have proof of how fast over the speed limit you were probably going?
Auto Event Detection/Auto G lock: This can be triggered by a large bump in the road or a hard slam of a door. Lots of false positives. Over time this will probably fill up the memory card with useless false positives. And do you really want to trust that the G sensor will pick up on a collision or not? Only time I think this could be useful is if you’re going to power the camera while your car is parked.
Get a high endurance Sandisk/Samsung (I don’t recommend Lexar, not a fan of Lexar anymore when the brand was sold to Longsys) 128gb microSD card with any dash cam! Your chances of the card not recording a collision go way up with anything less. 128gb will record hours of footage, way more than enough to forget you had a collision for some reason, and then remember a few days later and still have the footage on the card.
High endurance sd cards are 20ish bucks. Don’t cheap out on the most important part of the whole camera.
TLDR: This camera is perfect for most people. Get a High endurance SD card from a well known brand, and your future self will thank you very much for the insurance this camera WILL give you. At bare minimum, you’ll have some footage of something crazy or a near miss you saw on the road.
