ANY Ryobi mower is just cheap plastic, and the batteries will be nothing but an expensive hastle lasting only as long as the warranty. The fast charger that comes with the mower damaged 2 batteries of mine, one Ryobi refused to replace. The other battery that they did deplaced swelled up, leaked a blue gel and that gel leaked into the fast charger causing it to short out. I would absolutely not purchase one of these mowers.

***DO NOT BUY, BATTERY IS USED*** The 8Ah 40V battery that Home Depot sends with this deal is USED, I repeat, **USED**. Please note the battery is FAR more expensive than the tool at 249-299$, that’s how this deal works. PLEASE reconsider your business with Home Depot – or at least check the battery aggressively.
My battery has clear use history with the bottom of the battery having the classic 4-line mark indicating it’s been docked to the charger multiple times. It appears to have been in use for months to couple years.

This Ryobi battery mower met my expectations. So quiet and easy to use compared to a gas mower. I would recommend this mower to anyone in the market for a new mower.

Mower is great. Trying to get the grass catcher bag installed on the cage it comes with… impossibly frustrating. Just sell the bag already ON the cage! I returned it after 45 min of cut up hands.

I just finished my 4th yard mow with the Ryobi and its mowing performance is great. However, the battery life is not what was expected. I’ve got a 1/3rd yard lot with about 40′ elevation change top to bottom. If I use the self propelled power, I need over 3 batteries to complete 1 mowing. If I do not use the self propelled power, I can finish with ~ 2 batteries. Not what I was expecting, but I bought 3 extra batteries so I can complete without an issue.

Best lawnmower I’ve ever bought! Lightweight and easy assembly. Quiet love how you can control the speed. Batteries don’t take long to charge and they last doing my whole yard, front, back and sides.

I’ve purchased two of these and they both ended up having problems starting over time (12+ months). There is an electrical safety system that appears to be not robust and they will not start. They cut well when they work but the not starting is so maddenin.
