Cons: LG Software appears to have two bugs when running two Ultragear displays at the same time as the problems did not occur with the display I was using prior to buying this 27″ unit:
–> When the computer was turned on the initial lock screen would go into screen saver mode as it is supposed to but then enter the log-in screen after 2 ~ 4 images by itself with no input from me.
–> Occasionally the unit would power up to black screens on both displays every 3 ~ 6 power-ons. The computer BIOS power up sequence was fully visible but both screens were black. Cycling the power always brought back the computer with normal displays.
My solution was to remove the LG display software from the Windows power up sequence. Overall Review: I bought this display not for gaming but rather to use as a secondary display for reading gaming pages while gaming on my 32″ LG 32GP83B-B monitor that I had purchased a few months prior to this one. I bought this 2nd UltraGear due to the high resolution display and color quality that I was experiencing with the 32″ one I have. Other than the software bug ( how many persons run two of the same model displays? ) I have no issues and fully recommend thesis ( these? ) displays.

Color calibration was a lot less work than I thought it might be Cons: Power supply/cord: the cord length is only 4ft long. Had to remove 1 egg entirely for this because for one? LG doesn’t make a power supply for this monitor with a longer cord you can order separately. Adding to that, the switching power supply you get has a 100-240V rating which means that limits the power extension cords you can get that can power the monitor properly without causing a problem. One more thing: because the power supply/cord only has a 4ft long cable it means you have to strategize where and how far away your surge protector or UPS is located when you install this into your gaming center. If it’s too far and you can’t get a power extension cable that can handle the voltage of the supply plugged into it right away? That’s a problem Overall Review: For the most part I would recommend this to a lot of people for its performance and picture alone. However; as an honest person I’d also have to tell them about the custom power supply/cord that you need to power it and the fact the cord’s cable is so short. With that, be prepared when you get this monitor.

Pros: Easy to assemble, sturdy desptop platform. Very easy to adjust heigt and angle. Generous cooling vents on the back dissapate the heat very well.
HDR and G-SYNC perfect for use with an NVIDIA GPU Cons: Generates a bit of heat. First monitor I have ever owned that was warm. Overall Review: I would not hesitate to buy this monitor again. Fairly priced affordable monitor.

However, the lack of built-in speakers as well as the blood pressure-raising controls for a monitor of this price is pretty bad. However, if those arent dealbreakers for you, this is a great monitor.

– When using DisplayPort the monitor does NOT stay connected when it goes to sleep, desktops/windows will shuffle and resize Overall Review: Great monitor, a massive upgrade over my old ASUS VX238H. If you’re looking for a general-purpose monitor with greater-than-1080p/60fps you could do a whole lot worse than this.
