Sorry but this product won’t last six months: the weak link is… well the chain link switch. Once it breaks inside the molded plastic switch it’s unrepairable and off to the hardware store once again and a couple hours out of another Chinese product day.
fixtureinstaller –
This fixture was hard to install. The terminals are at an angle and the method of attaching the wires results in it taking great effort to get the wires attached and the screws tightened. As you can see from the picture, it comes with an extra long cotton string that you can attach to the very short beaded pull. Also, it is very close to bulb so be sure not to use an incendesent bulb which if got too hot could burn the string.

The chain broke after a few months. My wife is the only one that uses this light and she is not heavy handed like me. The chain is very thin and weak. Would definitely not recommend.
DEWEY –
To attach wires correctly, it goes between the two plates, not under the screw head. Be sure to loop it around to go on both sides, as you would with just a screw. It is very difficult to make a loop in the wire before or after you insert it. I used a small needle nose pliers. I wouldn’t recommend trying to take the screw and plate off.

My attic pull chain lamp holder no longer worked. I went on the home depot website and saw that I could get it in store so I went to get one. The old one is porcelain so I was expecting that’s how a new one would be. These new ones are plastic. I hope it will serve it’s purpose for many years because it gets super hot in the attic of this really old house. Install was quick and easy.

I bought from you guess and I installed the wrong way, my dad used a freaking computer to PC DisplayPort to connect it! I can’t remove my outlet because of this! My dad is stupid and he can’t do it! I can’t go back to buy a new one now! Freaking useless junk socket, not buy anymore!
