Used 1 time. Went to use again 2 weeks later, top rack won’t go inside grille. The grille literally is like strangely slightly shifted so that the flat tray don’t sit inside properly..

I was excited to use this Expert Grill, but unfortunately, when I opened the box, I found a large dent and chipped paint on one of the main parts (see photos). It looks like it was damaged during manufacturing or shipping. The metal is bent and the enamel is scratched off, exposing bare metal that could rust easily.
I haven’t even assembled it yet and I’m already disappointed. The grill itself might work fine, but the quality control really needs improvement. I’ll be contacting Walmart or the manufacturer for a replacement part.
Not the experience I was hoping for.

This comment/review provides tips and overview of assembly.
Please see the attached photos of Assembly Instructions. (if needed.)
Please see assembly tips below.
I gave this grill 5-stars because for less than twenty bucks it’s totally worth it.
My grill was delivered in perfect shape with all parts included.
This grill is not a rock, but it stands firm with very little wobbling. Be gentle use care and it should last many years.
The grill charcoal racks are good quality.
The grill is 33″ tall and does not “sit too low.” I am 5’10” and it’s fine.
The wheels work well and are a big help when moving the grill around.
If you are a pyromaniac and use tons of flaming hot coals, yes, the handle may melt, but ask yourself, “Do I need this much intense heat for grilling food, or am I a pyromaniac?” -lol.
TIPS:
1. Lay out all parts on floor in a well-lighted room.
2. Get a black marker and write the PART LETTERS on the plastic packaging for easy reading. (the parts are enclosed in segregated plastic and have the PART LETTERS printed teeny-tiny on them -hard to see.)
3. Cut a slit in the plastic cellophane just big enough for the parts, screws, washers, etc., to fit through and leave them in their compartments until needed.
4. When assembling the legs, DO NOT tighten them firmly until after assembling the wire shelf wheels. Just tighten them enough to loosely keep them in place. You will need to have the legs a ‘little loose’ to spread the wire rack in-between the legs without bending them or causing stress where they attach to the grill bottom..
5. After installing the wire shelf and wheels, use a phillips head screwdriver to tighten firmly. Do Not over tighten or force excessive pressure on any screws or wingnuts. Nice and firm. No need for Herculean muscle tension, just “good tight.”
BONUS TIPS:
6. I added a couple of washers found around the house to the inside of the wheels to take up a little more space between the wheels and the legs. This will add a little more stability.
7. You could add additional washers on the “top side” of the handle to help prevent melting…if you are a pyromaniac.
8. If indeed you are a pyromaniac and happen to melt your top handle, you can remove it, drill a hole through the flat metal handle posts and insert a wood block or handle secured using wood screws or similar.
IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL, PLEASE GIVE IT A ‘THUMBS-UP’ SO IT WILL APPEAR AT THE TOP OF THE LIST.
(If you did not find it helpful, then you are probably a pyromaniac.) 😉

Great item. I previously owned it but left it out in the rain and snow and used it for 10 years. Time for a new one. Simple, classic but makes delicious food. Easy to use. Lightweight. I definitely recommend it for anyone on a budget who enjoys making your food outdoors.

I Went out of my way to get this grill for a friend . I put it together and delivered it. second time he used it, it fell apart , i was left very Embarrassed. This Grill should be Removed from All the Stores Because It Has A Manufacturing Defect of how the Legs Connect to the Grill . The connection between the legs to the Grill is Too flimsy, with a single screw on top the leg ,which pulls through the bottom. Therefore breaking the bottom of the grill ruining the grill.

setup was pretty easy. The instructions are very visual and while I would’ve liked more words, I caught on soon enough. Cooked a great Mother’s Day selection of meats that came out very well and was easy to clean after it cooled down. It was cheap too and came with the groceries I ordered, loved it

For the money ($20) it’s a decent grill. I don’t use charcoal a lot I prefer gas, but for the summer I will use it at least 5 times. This was a perfect grill for my application. If I was more serious about charcoal grilling I would get a Weber kettle ($100). I thought the charcoal to food height differential was perfect. 1 hour assembly time for me.

I am very disappointed. I thought that this grill was going to be a nice way to cook small food items instead of using our large grill. Instead, the grill did not have enough screws to put it together. My husband spent a couple hours trying to get it done.

I just wanted to grill a few things for this recent holiday and this grill was everything I needed it to be. The instructions were great. I only looked at the pictures to put it together. I didn’t actually read anything. I used all the parts that was provided. And I was able to grill.

Good little grill for the price. No bells and whistles obviously but gets the job done. If you’re just trying to grill something small and simple to feed your small family like burgers and hot dogs, even some small streaks, I highly recommend. The only issue I had was the instructions were a little confusing, but YouTube is a great go to for help with that. Other than that, I would definitely purchase again.
