I was first impressed when I opened the box. It so cute and compacked. Then I tried to use it. This isn’t my first time using a sewing machine and I read over the manual and watched a short video on instructions. Nothing different or new. So I proceeded to hem up some curtains that needed to be raised about 1/2 inch. First curtain went well and then I continued to the second curtain and the machine failed to work. I tried several times and things, read over the manual and it just stopped working. Had to return it. So disappointed.

I needed something that I could get to quickly for small quick fixes. Weeeeeeell, this turned out to be more complicated than my full size machines. Threading the machine was frustrating because some of the sections for passing the thread through are not quick-loads. You actually have to thread through a fully closed hole. The thread that came with the machine was very cheap. Like fine yarn that breaks easily if the machine is run non-stop for more than a few minutes. Which also created problems with the bobbin thread feed and would bunch up under the needle. The machine only has one speed. Nothing quick about it. I like its compact size and simple selection of stitches, but it’s apparent that this is meant for a child or training. I will keep it for the convenience but will have to replace the thread spools for a better quality thread so the machine doesn’t get jammed up with thread dust and fibers in the bobbin case.

This machine is hard to use. It does have the finger guard but definitely needs adult supervision. My 9 year old had trouble but the 12 year old was able to use. The tread provided caused problems with tension. Once I changed it out we were able to use the machine.

I returned this machine. It says it is a beginner machine but I wouldn’t want a beginner working with a machine without being able to change stitch length or be ready to sew the instant you turn it on!! When you flip the on button the needle begins going up and down, whether you are ready or not.
I am not a beginner but No thank you not for me or anyone just beginning.

    > Bought 2 of these so my 13 year old could learn to sew. The door to the bobbin is to tight and has to be pryed off to get to the bobbin.
The other one got the thread got in the upper mechanism, never saw that before. Neither sewing machine has the 5/8 inch marked, they have no markings at all.
If i can keep them running they will give my twins a taste of sewing.

I am still reading the instructions and trying to use it, so for now I only give you 3 stars. I have a question: Do I have gotten the whole package stuff? What are the Extension Table, Zipper Foot, Invisible-Zipper Foot? Could you send me pictures to let me know what are they?

This machine is amazing for it’s travel size. The auto-run speed of low and high is very useful and having the ability to manually run the machine by hand for delicate turns is great.
It came with an amazing assortment of bobbins and colors and a mini spool of both black and white thread. it also can hold a full sized standard spool of thread.
It’s easy to use and very handy. ilove that it can run from either AC power or battery!
My only complaint is how flimsy the foot pedal is. I found it was nearly impossible for me to control the speed for curves and rounded edges with the tiny, light weight pedal. However, the pedal is sufficient for straight seaming.
This machine is for beginners and for small mending or small projects. Turning it by hand allows for more complex curves or patterns. With that in mind, it is fantastic for it’s price!
With this machine, I was able to sew my very first patchwork chicken! I do wish the foot pedal was better; but, again, that’s my only complaint.
Also: it fits perfectly in a Cube storage shelf!

presser foot fell off and could not be reconnected. I spent three and a half hours trying to figure out how to get this machine working. the needle placement also makes the threading of the machine extremely difficult, even using a threader. I appreciate it that it ran on batteries, at the same time I simply couldn’t use it because of parts that were not correct. I wish it would have worked out differently but it didn’t.

It’s a lightweight machine and you’ll need to use very thin fabric for any projects and no layering. I’ll give it to my daughter to remix t-shirts or maybe see hems on lighter weight Fabric dresses. Not sure it will be suitable for even basic sewing like curtains
