Pros: Solid build
Good looking
Works well
10G on board
Decent price Cons: Fan header in the middle is weird
8-port power location kinda sucks
The heat plate for the NVME is a pain. It’s hinged and have to take cards out to mess with it and move cables if needed. Overall Review: Started with the carbon from MSI and that board I had issues with BIOS resets so swapped out for this board when it came available about a week after. Yeah you need to BIOS update but big deal….. It’s easy and works fine plux it’s nice to get familiar with the process…
Board is really solid. Looks good and runs very well. I loaded it in the following:
N5 Jonsbo
2 NVME VM drives
A310 for inference and media transcoding (frigate, plex, channels-dvr)
1 NVME for storage
2 SATA for boot pair
2 SATA for ssd_pool
6 exos 20TB
6 ironwolf pro 24 TB
16i HBA
and still one slot to spare for higher end GPU when i’m ready for it. Runs extremely well, quite good cooling, all air. ASUS was my first love 20 years ago and been on asrock/asrockrack for the last decade. Need iGPU so trying out latest 15th gen. So far so good. Nice to have everything all in one chassis very clean.

Pros: – Good construction
– PCI-E 5
– 10G internet Cons: – The bloatware is too much. One first boot after installing Windows, a popup window opens with an OK button that installs a metric ton of bloatware. The bloat ware can’t be cleanly removed. I reinstalled Windows and didn’t click that option on the second Windows install. Finding all of the drives required me to download the installer without running it and then point Windows at the folder location to find each of my missing drivers. That seems to be the only way to do it without having Asus install a ton of services that you can’t turn off.
– Asus Armoury Crate is fat, bloated, and lousy. It would not recognize/control the LEDs on the only 192GB set on the QVL. I had to install the Corsair iCUE app to control the LEDs on the RAM.
– PCI-E 5 only supports one of the SDDs. (Support for 4 more SSDs is only PCI-E 4.)
– No onboard TCM 2.
– BIOS is difficult to find settings, and missing several desired settings. Overall Review: – I will consider a different motherboard brand on my next build.
– The bloatware is ridiculous.

Overall Review: Great motherboard with extensive features. It Installs easily and so far runs well. However, a couple of issues in its design. You can water cool the NMVe because the water-cooled units with its fitting will not work with the overhang of the heatsink. This was with the standard Corsair NVMe cooling element. We tried both the Corsair and the Dracaena fillings, and neither would allow installation. So we tried the supplied Gigabyte Aorus 12000 NVMe heatsink, which could not be used either. So you are stuck using the supplied ASUS heatsink and hope the NVMe does not overheat.

Pros: Looks good. Cons: No display for error codes to aid in POST fail diagnosis. Graphics card slot results in the video card completely covering the smaller PCI slots for sound cards, making them unusable. Overall Review: Purchased two Z890 Plus Wifi motherboards from Newegg. After getting one machine put together, found that the system would not start. Further troubleshooting, including switching out PSU, RAM, motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler – nothing worked to bring the motherboard to life. Conducted POST of each motherboard completely stripped down with no components or CPU, only display , mouse, and keyboard connected to back panel, and neither motherboard would complete POST or get to the BIOS screen. Tech support line was extremely unhelpful, with the automated attendant failing multiple times when calling the U.S. support line. When connected, call quality was very poor due to the technical support people all seemingly having headsets that were in poor repair. Overall, very bad experience with this board and certainly not the quality I am used to seeing with either the product or the technical support from Asus. Although I am a longtime fan of Asus products, I will be actively looking at other manufacturers for any future computer products.

Pros: Fortnite works great with this mobo. I feel that this is a future proof item, should last me years. I hear the OLED screen will be able to display pictures in future BIOS updates. Cons: None, it takes a while to tune this board and get the settings right. Overall Review: I would recommend this motherboard for people who want all the features and need it to be 24/7 stable.

Pros: – Lots of USB ports
– Lots of M.2 slots
– Stunning Looks
– Solid build
– Fair price considering cost of everything has gone up Cons: – BIOS had to be updated upon receiving was several versions behind.
– Issues with booting looping with XMP enabled Overall Review: Stunning looking board with lots of functionality. The board was several updates behind on the BIOS. Some of these updates are very much needed performance wise. I am having issues with boot looping with XMP enabled. It might just be a me issue, but after reading some of the other reviews I am not certain if it is just a me issue anymore. I still recommend the board. Despite the small amount of issues I am experiencing I am still satisfied with my purchase.

Pros: Well built with quality parts. Cons: None Overall Review: I keep seeing these reviewers saying that the board dies fast or won’t post after selecting xmp….well to clear your troubled mind I’ve run the brakes off this board and it’s not even close to slowing down! As for the xmp problems all you have to do is select xmp 2 and select the speed that you ram should be at and bam works like a Swiss watch!
