Pros: Right out of the box with no adjustments, true plug and go visuals @4k. Stunning and beautiful. This thing is a true PC monitor.
This is replacing a 34′ Asus Ultrawide I’ve had for 5 years. I loved my 3440×1440 but with a press of the ‘on’ button, I total forgot about it. Even going to a 16:9 format from 21:9 I didn’t miss it 0.1 of a second. 😉
-Great packaging and ease of assembly for base mount
-Anti-glare works and still keeps the deep blacks. Impressed
-Great design. All screen almost bezeless
-OC to 138 (have to set this)
-Safety screen features are on as default
-Stand-by (thank you)
-No flicker, stutter, ghosting, tearing. Flawless
-5 HDMI, DP 1.4, headphone and USB mount for attaching a camera, light, or head tracker device
-Great speakers even though I use a headset
-Remote is a nice touch though the bottom center control knob is easy to use as well. I like how its not one or the other, but options. Cons: -None I can think of I’m really impressed Overall Review: If you want a 4k monitor, not a tv that can be used as a monitor (there is a difference) then I would recommend this product that’s if of course it’s in your budget. I had to gulp when I hit the buy button to be honest but now that moment is long gone and I do not regret it.
Just to show how Win11HDR works with older games, I uploaded Guildwars 2 image. Of course RDR2, CP2077, Spider-Man all look amazing with ray tracing, ultra/psyhco mode and so on, but what can it do for the rest? I’m still messing around whether I like the game mode or Cinema mode better. Stunning nonetheless.
And this is on a 3080. I was seeing 79FPS minimum in RDR2. Yes, DLSS was on. Hope this helps.

Pros: Matte screen is perfect for my office during the day and looks just as good as my C1 at night. After firmware update uniform brightness setting is amazing and is far better than the LG variants. Motion clarity is perfect and behaves as a PC monitor should. Cant recommend more! Cons: Still a little large but best option currently Overall Review: 5/5 best oled pc option currently.

Pros: Everything about this monitor is almost perfect. Color, Brightness, OLED, 4K, G-Sync, Remote, OLED screen protection features, heatsink Good speakers. Anti-Glare was not an issue at all. don’t listen to others complaining about it. Cons: wake / sleep issues. ROG logo was scratched below glass surface. with every firmware it fixes and issue and introduces another. when turn up the volume , you can hear the plastic at the back of the screen making noise. but this were minor to me. sadly 2 dead pixels after less than a week usage. and not heavy usage. Overall Review: It is the best 42″ 4K gaming monitor out there. I don’t think there is any competition.The dead pixels is what killed it for me. I could not stand looking at them. I couldn’t live with it so soon. Sadly I had to return it. I just had bad luck wit this one. Might consider buying it later when there is better stock and better firmware updates.

Pros: Being an Oled the picture is top notch, espically noticable watching movies with dark scenes. Light and thin for the size with a good amount of settings in the menu options. The minimal base is compact and sturdy if not wall mounted. Overall the best part of this purchase has been newegg. I was able to recieve a replacement without any hassle due to original having a small defect. I was very pleased with the replacement considering the cost of the monitor. I was not going to be happy if it had any issues and newegg made getting it replaced incrediably simple. Cons: The plastic access pannel that covers the I/O ports on the back feels thin and cheap, and is loosely held in place with little retention. But that is the only negative I could find with the monitor. Nit a negative but something to be aware of us this is an oled monitor. They are prone to burn in, so you must treat it differently than a regular tv. There is a number of burn in protections built into the settings that can be changed. Overall Review: I have been very happy with my purchase, but more so with neweggs service. Good customer service has become a harder thing to come by and can eaisly make a purchase a nightmare. I have used newegg since they started and see no reason for that to chage in the future.

Pros: When the monitor was working it was spectacular. Gorgeous HDR in gaming and I could see more in documents and spreadsheets in side-by-side windows then was possible when they were full screen on my previous smaller screen. Cons: I purchased this monitor in April and in July the power supply failed. As of now, the end of October, I am still struggling to get ASUS Customer Support to fix it.
I have used ASUS products for literally decades with no issues and consider their products to be of high quality but now I realize the manufacturer warranty is very important to consider as well when choosing a product and for that reason I no longer consider ASUS a brand I will consider in the future for an expensive product like this or a laptop computer. Overall Review: I would NOT buy this monitor again. I highly recommend that if you are considering this monitor that you first do a search on ASUS Customer Support and read the reviews on consumer complaint websites.
