Used 3 times in a week. Cut down 50-100 wrist sized pines, oaks and locust trees. Batteries last 45 min. to a hour of off and on cutting and hauling. Batteries charge in 20-30 min. On/off button stays on when you set the saw down. No time out as others have said. It would be good to have another set of batteries. Overall no complaints.

Works great, no trouble starting this one !! Cuts just as good as my old gas saw and I don’t have to mix any gas.

Makita makes some of the best power tools made. This one is no exception. I’ve owned 2 other chain saws, a Husky and a Stihl. They were very good tools also but they were gas and had all the limitations of a gas saw. Specifically if you don’t use it a lot the gas tends to turn to lacquer. This battery powered saw works nearly as powerful as my other saws and I don’t have to worry about the gas. It cuts very well and has lots of features.
