I use the phone infrequently and it works fine for sound clarity and texting (old style texting via phone keys). It came with a spare battery. As the phone is advertised as water resistant and comes with rubber seals to prevent water ingress, the cap covering the charging and audio out (headphone – not supplied) jack is quite stiff to remove and put back in after charging. Other than that as a minor item to note the phone has performed well over the past month.

This phone is great. The bundle I purchased came with two batteries, one in the phone and one inside the box. It charges with an included USB C cable. You have to open the back of the phone and take out the battery before using it because it has some tape over the connectors. Remove the tape and it works great. Installing the sim card was very easy, there are instructions in the included booklet. It isn’t very heavy though it looks like it would be. I really like this phone and it works with Chatr mobile in Canada.
To set up a phone plan with Chatr you follow the instructions on the sim card that you can order on Amazon as well. It tells you to go to Chatr’s website and you activate the sim card by typing in the number on the back of the card that it comes attached to. Then you pick a phone number and a plan and make a payment and thats it. The sim card goes into the phone and it worked right away, I was able to take calls and make calls right away.
Thanks for selling this phone, I really like it and I will keep it with me during the winter blizzards when I’m doing snow removal without worrying that it could break or that I might drop it in the snow.

Au déballage, ce téléphone surprend par son assez grande taille. Il est conçu pour les seniors. Ce n’est pas un téléphone basique car il possède tout de même des fonctionnalités remarquables. Au-dessus, il est équipé d’une lampe-torche. À arrière, il dispose d’un haut-parleur ainsi que d’un appareil photo. En-dessous, se trouve la prise casque. Il est livré avec la batterie qui n’est pas installée à l’intérieur. Pour le rechargement de celle-ci, il faut noter la présence d’un câble USB avec un côté USB-C et un autre en USB-A et l’adaptateur USB est agréablement fourni ! On peut y installer deux cartes SIM simultanément et le format Nano SIM est pris en charge. On peut aussi y installer une carte micro SD. Les chiffres des touches sont bien grands.

A little expensive and slightly larger than what I was looking for, but it is tailored to olde people. Battery a bit of. Disapointment as it seems to last less than a week with 2 sims running and only a few phome calls. In comparison, my previous phone, Q Mobile purchased in Pakistan in 2014, still gets at least 10 days and is considerabl smaller build though the screen is about the same size. One interesting “hidden feature” is that there is a Opera internet browser that I can only open by clicking links received in text messages. I have no idea if there is any other way to access it as I cant find it mentioned in the menu anywhere.

This might be good for people who want a simpler phone experience but it is not appropriate foe seniors or people with diminished capacity. My mom has mild cognitive impairment and she is completely unable to use this. It requires you to push the phone button, then a button to unlock and then press a star key after. Not only can she not handle a sequence like that but it also requires you to do it quite quickly. We have tried many times with coaching and this has been a complete waste of money. It needs to be one click to make a phone call not 3.

If anyone is wondering, it works with Freedom Mobile (in eastern Ontario as apparently Freedom uses different channels in different parts of the country). I had to insert the sim into another phone, wait a few minutes before transferring and then manually add the APN as described but otherwise I’ve had no problems.
The one downside is the clasp for the sim isn’t great and broke because the sim wasn’t seated properly as it was sliding around when I tried to lock it in place – but I suspect these are stock parts and similarly installed in other phones. Fortunately I was able to snap it back in place and hold it in place with the battery.

The battery life and ability to charge started to fail shortly after using the phone. The phone was purchased for my aging dad, but the issues and short battery life with this phone was making something that was supposed to be easy and straight forward, just as difficult. I ended up, putting this unit in a drawer, for it was too late to return and I bought my dad a much more useful Ulefone X12 Pro as a replacement.

J’avais acheté ce téléphone car antichoc et étanche, mais je ne le conseille pas pour des personnes âgées : le téléphone se verrouille en cas de non utilisation dans les 5 mn, il faut donc le déverrouiller à chaque utilisation, appuyer sur 2 touches différentes, c’est un peu compliqué.

Die Äußere Gestaltung ist gut. Die Bedienung ist sehr unübersichtlich und kompliziert. Speziell die Lautstärke-Einstellung ist stark Verbesserungswürdig. Weiterhin ist sehr schwer auszumachen, wie die Laut-Sprech-Einrichtung einzuschalten ist. Es gäbe noch mehr zu sagen, aber das zuvor genannte ist das, womit ich zur Zeit Schwierigkeiten habe. Eine derart verbesserungswürdige Software habe ich zuvor noch nie vorgefunden.
